::sigh::

so it has been two weeks and one day since our baby Kayleb has been born! He is just perfect..we could not ask for a better baby! My is so proud to be a big brother and he is so in love with the baby! Kayleb had his first official Dr.'s appointment today and he is doing awesome! He already has gained over a pound. He still has a little jaundice, but nothing to worry about, according to the dr. He is, i think, a complete copy of his Kuya when he was born. It is still weird to think that Kayleb can still possibly still be in my belly right now! We are so glad that he is finally here..and we have been incubated enough to finally go back to church on sunday!

It has been a long two weeks, but im not complaining. I love being home with him and Myles and Mykah. Praise God that Myles was approved for a 12 week paternity leave..with full pay! That is a huge answer to prayer. Now, we are just praying that God grants me a job with the state prison over here, so that we can finally breathe, financially. God has blessed us so much and i know that this financial slump that we are currently in is just a lesson to be learned. What? We are not quite sure yet, but we are faithful that God will provide. It is just hard having to constantly look at our account and just about cry to see how much money we dont have. Collection calls..past due bills..overdraft charges..*sigh*..Bless Mykah's heart for his willingness to give mommy and daddy all the money that he has in his piggybank. Myles just told me that at Mykah's field trip, he couldnt buy Mykah a souvenir because of our lack of funds, and it just about broke his heart because all of Mykah's classmates we buying stuff. But our big boy understood, and humbly stood there and only window shopped. That brought me to tears. It's just so hard knowing that the next paycheck will be put to bills, again, and we have to brace ourselves to see what little we have to stretch until the next paycheck..

It's ok, though..God is in control and His timing is perfect. We are relying on Him more and more and i know that God will not disappoint us. Myles always says that we can be doing so much worse. Tightening our belts to the point of anorexia (not literally!! haha) will only give us a better appreciation of what we have and give us creative ways of making do with what we do have. We have good health..an appreciative kindergartner..a healthy newbown..an amazing family..an awesome church family and friends..and the essentials we need for our everyday functioning..

I dont know if i am making any sense anymore in this blog..haha..its my soapbox and basically the only place i can vent..but it did help me to let it out..yes, money is important, but we have what we have and God will provide..it more or less puts me in check even spiritually..i have to also do MY part in strengthening MY relationship with Him...DUH..

  1. Thanks for sharing all of that and it is so good that you have the right attitude about it and trust that God has you in his hands! He does and he will take care of you and your family. I will be in prayer about the job or a job!

    I also must say money can be difficult and must recommend something that has helped put things in perspective for Randy and I. Invest in the book called Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. If you can't afford it let me know but it is great and again has really helped us out! :-)

    God will provide!
